This guide explains how to send CNY and foreign currencies locally from your Aspire CNY account. Choose the section below based on the currency you want to send.
Supported Transfer Types, Fees, Limits & Timeframe
Your Aspire CNY account supports four types of local transfers:
CNY transfers within Hong Kong via FPS
CNY transfers within Hong Kong via CHATS
CNY transfers within China via CNAPS
Foreign currency transfers to recipients in their currency's home country

Send CNY from your Aspire CNY account to recipients in Hong Kong or China.

Our team might email Admin and Finance users for additional details or documents needed to process your transfer. While we strive to complete these reviews quickly, we can't provide an exact timeline for when your recipient will receive the funds, as weekends, public holidays, and banking hours might also affect the timing. We appreciate your understanding and patience regarding any potential delays.
CHATS transfer: Typically processed within 2–4 hours if submitted before 5:30 PM HKT on a business day.
CNAPS transfer: Adding a CNAPS transfer recipient requires a 2-hour review before you can initiate a transfer.
Sending foreign currencies
You can send various foreign currencies to recipients within their currency's home country (local transfer).

How to send local transfers from the Aspire CNY Account
FPS Transfer (Hong Kong)
Admin and Finance with transfer and submit transfer rights can initiate an FPS transfer in CNY currency.
On your Aspire dashboard, click "CNY Account" under "Accounts".
Click "Make a transfer".
Select "Pay a recipient".
Click on "New Recipient".
Select CNY as the currency you wish to send.
Select FPS as the transfer type, then fill in the recipient’s details:
Select CNY account as the source of funds.
Enter the transfer amount.
Complete the transfer details:
Payment Reference (Optional)
Choose a category (Mandatory)
Link the transaction to a budget (Optional)
Other payment reference fields
Once you have reviewed your payment details and are satisfied with them, click the "Confirm" button.
Note: Scheduled transfers are not yet available for transfers for FPS transfer.
CHATS transfer (Hong Kong)
On your Aspire dashboard, click "CNY Account" under "Accounts".
Click "Make a transfer".
Select "Pay a recipient".
Click on "New Recipient".
Select CNY as the currency you wish to send.
Select Bank account as the transfer type, then fill in the recipient’s details:
Account holder full name
Recipient type: Individual or Company
Country: Select Hong Kong
Account number
Bank name
SWIFT/ BIC
Address
Select CNY account as the source of funds.
Enter the transfer amount.
Complete the transfer details:
Payment Reference (Optional)
Choose a category (Mandatory)
Link the transaction to a budget (Optional)
Other reporting fields (if any)
Once you have reviewed your payment details and are satisfied with them, click the "Confirm" button.
Notes: Scheduled transfers are not yet available for CHATS transfers.
CNAPS (China)
For CNAPS transfers (non-e-commerce goods payments only), you must first add the recipient details and wait for them to be verified before proceeding with the transfer. We currently support general trade goods payments only — e-commerce goods and services payments are coming soon.
Creating CNAPS Beneficiary
On your Aspire dashboard, click "CNY Account" under "Accounts".
Click on “Make a transfer”.
Select “Pay a recipient".
Click on "New Recipient".
Select CNY as the currency you wish to send, then select the “Bank Account” tab.
Fill in the following details:

Other Business Details (for company recipient only) | Industry code, economic type, and special economic zone type (if applicable) |

7. Click “Continue” once done.
Notes:
Our team will verify the beneficiary details within 2 hours. The Aspire user who submitted the beneficiary details will be notified via email and push notification once the review is complete.
If successful: You can proceed with the transfer.
If failed: Double-check the details you entered (account number, CNAPS code, bank information, or identity information) and try adding the recipient again in the app.
While waiting for verification, you’ll see a “processing” icon next to the recipient in your list.
Sending CNAPS Transfer
On your Aspire dashboard, click on your CNY Account under “Accounts” Section.
Click on “Make a transfer”.
Select “Pay a recipient".
Click on "New Recipient".
Search and select the verified recipient from the list.
Enter the transfer amount, then click “Continue”.
Complete the required additional transfer fields, then click “Continue”.

8. Review the transfer details, then click “Confirm”.
How to send foreign currencies from the Aspire CNY Account
Admin, Finance with transfer rights, and Finance with submit-only rights users can can initiate foreign currency transfers.
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Make a transfer" under the Frequently Used Actions.
Select "Pay a recipient".
Click on "New Recipient".
Select the currency you wish to send.
Fill in the recipient’s details (the fields might differ depending on the selected currency):
Account holder's full name
Recipient type: Individual or Company
Bank Country
Payment method: Select local or e-wallet option (if available)
Bank name
Account number
Recipient Address
Postcode
Select CNY account as the source of funds.
Enter the transfer amount.
Complete the transfer details:
Payment Reference (Optional)
Choose a category (Mandatory)
Link the transaction to a budget (Optional)
Other reporting fields (if any)
Once you have reviewed your payment details and are satisfied with them, click the "Confirm" button.
Notes: Scheduled transfers are not yet available for local transfers to other foreign currencies.
What name will be displayed as the sender of the transfer?
CNY transfers via FPS or CHATS (Hong Kong): The recipient will see your business name as the sender's name.
CNY transfers via CHAPS (China): 上海汇付支付公司 or “Shanghai Huifu Payment Company" (payment partner’s name)
Foreign currency transfers: The sender's name shown to your recipient may vary, as it depends on what their bank chooses to display.
