Guide to Sending Local Transfers from Aspire EUR Account

This guide explains how to send EUR and foreign currencies locally from your Aspire EUR account. Choose the section below based on the currency you want to send.

Supported Transfer Types, Fees, Limits & Timeframe

Your Aspire EUR account supports 2 types of local transfers:

  • EUR transfers within the SEPA countries via SEPA transfers

  • Foreign currency transfers to recipients in their currency's home country

While we strive to complete these reviews quickly, we can't provide an exact timeline for when you will receive the funds, as weekends, public holidays, and banking hours might also affect the timing. We appreciate your understanding and patience regarding any potential delays.

Supported Countries for SEPA transfers

You can send EUR to recipients in any country within the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) network. Below is the full list of supported countries:

Important Notes on Country Coverage:

  • Denmark - Excluding the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

  • Finland - Including the Aland Islands.

  • France - Including Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, St Pierre et Miquelon, Mayotte, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy but excluding New Caledonia and Dependencies, French Polynesia, French Southern and Antarctic Territories, and the Wallis and Futuna Islands.

  • Netherlands - Excluding Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles.

  • Portugal - Including Azores and Madeira.

  • Spain - Including the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.

  • United Kingdom - Including Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey, but excluding Anguilla, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Montserrat, Pitcairn, Saint Helena and Dependencies, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the British Virgin Islands.

Note: Kosovo and Montenegro use the Euro as their domestic currency but do not belong to SEPA.

Sending foreign currencies

You can send various foreign currencies to recipients within their currency's home country (local transfer).

  • All transfers are subject to compliance checks by our team or partners, which may occasionally result in delays for your recipient in receiving the funds. Our team might email Admin and Finance users for additional details or documents needed to process your transfer. While we strive to complete these reviews quickly, we can't provide an exact timeline for when your recipient will receive the funds, as weekends, public holidays, and banking hours might also affect the timing. We appreciate your understanding and patience regarding any potential delays.

  • Fees for sending foreign currencies are always shown upfront in the Aspire app before you transfer.


How to send EUR from the Aspire EUR Account (SEPA)

Admin, Finance with transfer rights, and Finance with submit-only rights users can initiate EUR transfers.

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Make a transfer" under the Frequently Used Actions.

  2. Select "Pay a recipient".

  3. Click on "New Recipient".

  4. Select EUR as the currency you wish to send.

  5. Fill in the recipient’s details:

    1. Account holder full name

    2. Recipient type: Individual or Company

    3. Bank Country: Must be one of the Supported Countries

    4. Payment method: Select "Local"

    5. IBAN

    6. City

    7. Recipient Address

    8. Post code

  6. Select EUR account as the source of funds.

  7. Enter the transfer amount.

  8. Complete the transfer details:

    1. Payment Reference (Optional)

    2. Choose a category (Mandatory)

    3. Link the transaction to a budget (Optional)

    4. Other reporting fields (if any)

  9. Once you have reviewed your payment details and are satisfied with them, click the "Confirm" button.

Notes: Scheduled transfers are not yet available for SEPA transfers.


How to send foreign currencies locally from the Aspire EUR Account

Admin, Finance with transfer rights, and Finance with submit-only rights users can initiate foreign currency transfers.

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Make a transfer" under the Frequently Used Actions.

  2. Select "Pay a recipient".

  3. Click on "New Recipient".

  4. Select the currency you wish to send.

  5. Fill in the recipient’s details (the fields might differ depending on the selected currency):

    1. Account holder's full name

    2. Recipient type: Individual or Company

    3. Bank Country

    4. Payment method

    5. Bank name

    6. Account number

    7. Recipient Address

    8. Postcode

  6. Select EUR account as the source of funds.

  7. Enter the transfer amount.

  8. Complete the transfer details:

    1. Payment Reference (Optional)

    2. Choose a category (Mandatory)

    3. Link the transaction to a budget (Optional)

    4. Other reporting fields (if any)

  9. Once you have reviewed your payment details and are satisfied with them, click the "Confirm" button.

Notes: Scheduled transfers are not yet available for local transfers to other foreign currencies.


What name will be displayed as the sender of the transfer?

  • EUR transfers via SEPA: The recipient will see your business name as the sender's name.

  • Foreign currency transfers: The sender's name shown to your recipient may vary, as it depends on what their bank chooses to display.
