Aspire encourages all users to set up at least one trusted device for enhanced security and a better login experience. This guide explains what a trusted device is, how to set it up, and what to do if you lose access.
What is a Trusted Device?
A trusted device is a phone or computer you have verified with Aspire. It acts as your security key by receiving login approval requests and allowing you to confirm sign-ins from new devices.
First Time Setup (No Trusted Devices)
When you choose to set up a trusted device, you'll need to complete identity verification to ensure account security.
Mobile App Login
Log in using your registered email address, password, and enter the OTP, or use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID).
Complete the identity verification shown in the app:
After successful verification, you can choose to make your mobile device trusted for future logins, or skip this step to complete your current login only.
Web/Desktop Login
Log in using your registered email address, password, and enter the OTP, or use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID).
Complete the identity verification shown in the app:
After successful verification, you can choose to make your web device trusted for future logins, or skip this step to complete your current login only.
If your computer doesn't have a camera
A QR code will appear on your screen.
Use your mobile phone to scan the QR code or paste the link into your mobile browser

Logging in from a New Device (When You Already Have a Mobile Trusted Device)
Mobile App (New Phone):
Log in using your registered email and password or use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID).
A push notification will be sent to your existing mobile trusted device. If your trusted device is not available, follow the steps here.
On your trusted device: Open the notification and tap "Approve".
On your new device: Choose whether to mark it as trusted for future logins.
Web/Desktop (New Computer):
Log in using your registered email and password or use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID).
A push notification will be sent to your existing mobile trusted device.
On your trusted device: Open the notification and tap "Approve".
On your web app: Choose whether to mark it as trusted for future logins.
If Your Trusted Device is Not Available
If your trusted device is broken, lost, or you can't access it, you'll need to complete identity verification:
For Admin, Finance with Transfer Rights, Finance with Submit Only Rights users:
Select the "Verify Identity" option.
Take a selfie using your device's camera.
After successful verification, choose whether to make your device trusted or just complete this login.
For Finance (No Submit/Transfer Rights) and Employee Users:
Select the "Verify Identity" option.
Take a picture of your ID and take a selfie using your device's camera.
After successful verification, choose whether to make your device trusted or just complete this login.
If your login request expires
If your login request expires, click Resend Notification. This will send a new push notification to your trusted device so you can complete the login.
Notes:
While not mandatory, trusted devices provide enhanced security for your Aspire account.
You can have up to 5 trusted devices.
Ensure that notifications are enabled for your Aspire app, as login approval requests will be sent to your trusted device via push notification.
If you enter incorrect login details 3 times in a row, your device will be temporarily blocked from logging in for 30 minutes.
