Aspire encourages all users to set up at least one trusted device for enhanced security and a better login experience. This guide explains what a trusted device is, how to set it up, and what to do if you lose access.
What is a Trusted Device?
A trusted device is a phone or computer you have verified with Aspire. It acts as your security key by receiving login approval requests and allowing you to confirm sign-ins from new devices.

Troubleshooting Trusted Device Setup Issues
If you experience difficulties setting up your trusted device, first check for these common issues:
Selfie verification
During the selfie verification, you must take a live selfie of yourself. Do not upload or photograph an ID document for this step.
ID document quality
Ensure your uploaded ID document is clear, in focus, and free from glare. Blurry or obscured images will cause verification to fail.
Account ownership
Only the registered account owner can set up a trusted device. The selfie verification compares your image against the ID stored with Aspire, so this step will fail if attempted by someone other than the account holder.
If none of these issues apply, please try these troubleshooting steps in order:
Refresh your browser and attempt the setup process again
Log out and log back in to your Aspire account
Clear your browser cache and cookies to resolve any stored data conflicts
Switch to a different browser (we recommend Chrome, Safari, or Firefox)
If the problem persists after completing all the troubleshooting steps above, please contact our Support team through the Aspire app. When reaching out, include details about:
Which step in the setup process is failing
Any error messages you're seeing
Which browser or device you're using
Our team can investigate account-specific setup issues and provide additional assistance to complete your trusted device configuration.
