Only admin users can link an existing budget into a parent budget or sub-budget:
1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Budgets" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Budgets" (mobile app).
2. Click on the budget you want to edit
3. Click on "" on the upper right part, then hit "Edit"
4. Under the Parent budget field, select the budget* to tag it as a sub-budget, then hit "Continue" until you reach the "Update budget" button.
*Notes: You cannot add a parent budget if it exceeds the 3-level sub-budget limit. Additionally, you cannot select a parent budget with different sources of funds from the current budget.
If the current budget is independent, you can unlink its sources of funds, but all linked cards will be permanently cancelled and all pending transfers, bills, and claims will be rejected.
If the current budget already has sub-budgets, you cannot unlink funds from the current budget. However, you can add more Sources of Funds to the budget you wish to add as a parent budget.
