How to Set Up Tap to Pay

Tap to Pay enables your business to accept in-person payments using contactless cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay directly on your mobile phone without needing a separate POS device.

Funds will be deposited directly into your Aspire SGD account via Stripe.

Requirements

Before setting up Tap to pay, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • User access: Only Admin and Finance users can set up and use this feature.

  • Currency and account:

    • You’ll charge your customers in SGD, and payments will be deposited directly into your Aspire SGD account.

    • Your customers can pay in any currency supported by their card provider, who will then handle the currency conversion.

    • You’ll always receive the funds in SGD.

  • Device compatibility: You'll need an Android mobile device with NFC capability. Tap to Pay is currently supported for Android devices only.

  • Payment processor:

    • You'll need to integrate with Stripe to enable this feature. You can follow the steps in How to Enable Stripe on Invoices & Payment Links.

    • The Stripe integration process for Tap to Pay will be the same as the steps for Stripe integration flow in Invoices and Payment links.
