How to edit Aspire card details

Editing your own card

Admin user

Admin users can refer to our video guide or follow the steps below:

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Cards" (mobile app).

  2. Click on the card you would like to edit.

  3. Click on "Edit".

  4. Make changes to available fields (see table below).

  5. Click "Update card" to save changes immediately.

Available fields to edit:

Field

Card name

Name of the card

Card purpose

Description of card purpose

Source of funds

Your source of funds cannot be changed.

Spend limit

Set a spending limit and choose the refresh frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, one-time).

Freeze automatically

Choose automatic card freezing based on transaction count or selected date.

Budget

Tag the card to an Aspire budget

Allow specific currencies ONLY

Choose the currencies that you want to allow for transactions with the cards.

Merchant category restrictions

Specify the merchant's category for card usage.

Specific merchant restrictions

Reporting fields

Configure categories and custom fields for card transactions.

Exclude from auto reminders

To exclude this card from auto-receipt reminders, toggle the button.

Card colour

Colour of the card (virtual card only)

Finance or Employee user

Finance and Employee users can refer to our video guide or follow the steps below to request an update to their card details:

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Cards" (mobile app).

  2. Click on the card you would like to request a change of details.

  3. Click on "Request Edit" in the top right-hand side.

  4. Make changes to available fields (see table below).

  5. Scroll down to the bottom where it says Additional Information to include a reason/note to your Admin/Budget Owner requesting your edits. You can also add a supporting document.

  6. Click on "Submit edit request" and wait for your Admin/Budget Owner to approve your request

You will receive an email once your request is approved or rejected.

Editing another user's card

Admin user

Admin users can edit cards belonging to other users when the card is:

  • Assigned to a budget where the Admin is the Budget Owner, or

  • Assigned to a budget where the Admin is a Budget Member, or

  • Not assigned to any budget

Follow the steps above to edit another user's card.

  • Change source of funds: Your source of funds cannot be changed.

Finance user

Finance users can edit cards belonging to other users when:

  • The card is assigned to a budget where the Finance user is the Budget Owner

Finance users cannot edit another user's card when:

  • They are only a Budget Member on the card's budget, or

  • The card is not assigned to any budget, or

  • They have no relationship to the card's budget

Follow the steps above to edit another user's card.

Employee user

Employee users can edit cards belonging to other users when:

  • The card is assigned to a budget where the Employee user is the Budget Owner

Employee users cannot edit another user's card when:

  • They are only a Budget Member on the card's budget, or

  • The card is not assigned to any budget, or

  • They have no relationship to the card's budget

Follow the steps above to edit another user's card.
