Upgrading Your Aspire Account for Hong Kong or China-Incorporated Businesses

If your business is incorporated in Hong Kong or China and was previously registered under Aspire FT PTE Ltd (Singapore entity), you now have the option to upgrade your Aspire account to be enrolled under Aspire HK Limited (Hong Kong entity).

By upgrading, you'll gain access to newly issued multi-currency accounts, including:

  • HKD Account

  • CNY Account

  • USD Account

  • EUR Account

  • GBP Account

How to Upgrade Your Aspire Account

Only Admin users can initiate the upgrade by following these steps:

  1. Open the Aspire app and click on "Upgrade account" from the banner.

  2. Review the Terms & Conditions (Hong Kong).

  3. Tick the checkbox to confirm your agreement.

  4. Click "Submit" to proceed.

Note: The account upgrade process may take a few days to complete. Your current Aspire account will remain active during this time, and you can continue using it as usual. You’ll receive a confirmation email once the migration is successfully completed.

Important Reminders Before You Upgrade

Account Deactivation

  • Your previous accounts will be deactivated after the upgrade. Therefore, we recommend downloading any necessary account statements beforehand.

Account Balances

USD, EUR, & GBP Account

  • Your USD, EUR, and GBP account balances (if any) will be automatically transferred to the new accounts.

HKD Cards Account

  • Funds in your HKD card account will be transferred to your new HKD account.

  • We'll share a transfer form for your signature after T&C acceptance.

  • Once signed, funds will be moved within 7 days.

SGD Account

  • Your SGD account will be deactivated after the upgrade.

  • You’ll have 7 days to withdraw any remaining balance.

  • If no withdrawal is made, Aspire will convert the balance to your new USD account. A USD 43 processing fee will apply.

Cards Cancellation

  • Your current cards will be cancelled after the upgrade.

  • To avoid any disruption, we recommend removing your Aspire cards from any apps or platforms where they’ve been added (e.g., subscription services, payment wallets).

  • Once the upgrade is complete, you can create new cards in the Aspire app.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. What if someone sends money to my old USD, EUR, or GBP account?
    For up to 2 months after your account upgrade, transfers made to your old USD, EUR, or GBP account will be automatically redirected to your new account in the same currency.

    Example:

    • Sender transfers 100 USD to your old account.

    • 8 USD deducted as transfer fee.

    • 92 USD reflected in your new USD account.

    After this 2-month grace period, any funds sent to your old account will be rejected and returned to the sender. We recommend informing your clients and partners to use your new account details as soon as possible.

  2. What happens to pending outbound transactions from my old account?
    Any unapproved outbound transactions will be automatically cancelled after the upgrade.

  3. I forgot to download my old account statements. Can I still access them?
    Yes, simply contact our Customer Support team via the Aspire app, and we'll assist you in retrieving your previous account statements.

  4. What happens if I have recipients added to the account?

    We will automatically migrate your existing recipients. However, some recipients may not transfer and will need to be re-added to your new account.
