Transfers sent locally
Once a local transfer or an international transfer sent via local rails is completed from our end, cancellation is no longer possible.
We recommend that you coordinate with the recipient to arrange the return of funds after they have received them.
Transfers sent via SWIFT
We are permitted to issue a recall for SWIFT transfers if the circumstance falls under the following categories:
Fraud (we'll require a crime reference number if requested)
Duplicate transfers
Incorrect beneficiary details
Wrong transfer details
Recalls (requests to return your sent funds) are only performed on a 'best endeavors' basis. They require the cooperation of the intermediary and receiving banks, together with approval from the recipient of your transfer.
This process is manual for banks, so there is no definitive time on how long this will take. It could be between 10 working days to a month.
To request a recall process for the transfer you sent, please contact our Support Team via the Aspire app and confirm the transaction ID of the transfer you want to recall. Our team will get in touch with you within 24 hours.
