Security & Privacy

Is the Aspire MCP Server officially supported by Aspire?

Yes. The Aspire MCP Server is an official Aspire integration that allows compatible AI assistants to securely interact with Aspire on behalf of authenticated users.

Is my financial data safe when using Aspire MCP?

Yes. The Aspire MCP connector uses the same bank-grade security infrastructure as the Aspire platform itself. Specifically:

  • All communication between the AI and Aspire is encrypted in transit using TLS

  • Access is governed by OAuth 2.0 tokens — the AI never sees your Aspire password

  • Tokens are scoped to your business and can be revoked at any time from your Aspire account settings

  • Aspire's platform is audited against SOC 2 and applicable financial regulations in every market it operates in

Can the AI assistant access all company data?

No. The AI assistant can only access information that the authenticated user is already permitted to access within Aspire. If you cannot view or perform an action in Aspire, you will not be able to do so through the MCP Server.

What data does the AI have access to?

The AI can access the data categories you authorise during setup. By default, this includes:

  • Account balances and account details

  • Transaction history

  • Cards, budgets, bills, and expense claims

  • User and counterparty information within your business

Note: The AI does not have access to sensitive authentication data, full card numbers, or any data outside of your authorised Aspire business scope.

Will the information always be accurate?

The Aspire MCP Server provides data directly from Aspire.

However, AI assistants may occasionally misunderstand instructions, summarize information incorrectly, or present information in an unexpected way.

Can AI make mistakes?

Yes. Like all AI systems, AI assistants may occasionally generate inaccurate responses or misunderstand user intent.

For important financial decisions, users should verify information directly within Aspire.

How do I revoke the AI's access to my Aspire account?

You can revoke access at any time. In your Aspire account, go to Settings → MCP → Disable MCP. This immediately invalidates the access token and the AI will no longer be able to query your Aspire data.
