All users can submit a spend request. Admin and Finance users review, approve, and issue spend.
A Spend Request is the starting point for any planned business purchase on Aspire. Instead of emailing a manager or raising a request informally, employees submit a structured form that captures what they need, why they need it, the vendor, the budget, and the amount — all in one place.
Once approved, the request moves to a spend issuance step where an Admin or Finance user fulfils it by:
Issuing an Aspire card
Creating a Purchase Order
Creating or increasing a Budget
This gives your organisation a complete, auditable trail from purchase intent to payment.
How Spend Requests Connect to Other Aspire Features
Feature | Connection |
Vendors | Optional. Users can select a vendor on the request or create a new one inline. |
Budgets | Tag the request to a budget; budget owners are auto-added as potential approvers. |
Purchase Orders | An approved request can be converted directly into a PO. |
Cards | An approved request can result in a new Aspire card being issued. |
Approval Policies | Requests route through your configured Spend Request approval policy. |
Where to Find Spend Requests
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Spend" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Spend" (mobile app), then select "Requests".
