Which Businesses Can Create a Physical Card?
Businesses incorporated in Australia are eligible to create Aspire physical cards. Delivery of physical cards is to registered Australian business addresses only.
Creating a Physical Card
Admin users and Budget Owners can create a physical card directly in-app. Finance and Employee users will need to request the physical card in-app, which will be sent to Admin users for approval before the physical card is issued.
Admin Users or Budget Owners
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or tap "Menu" then "Cards" (mobile app).
Click "New card" located on the top right-hand side.
Select the Cardholder and customise the Card name.
Select "Physical Card" under card type.
Select the Source account. Australian businesses select their AUD account as the source of funds.
Set a Spend limit: enter the amount and choose the refresh frequency.
Link the card to a budget (optional).
Click "View more spend controls" to set: Freeze automatically, Allow specific currencies only, Merchant category restrictions, Specific merchant restrictions.
Assign a category for your card.
Click "View more reporting options" to fill out reporting fields or exclude from auto-reminders.
Click "Continue".
Add the details to be printed on the card: Cardholder name and Custom card name (max 15 alphanumeric characters each).
Add the Australian delivery address, then click Continue.
Review the card and delivery details, then click "Place order and pay".
Finance or Employee Users
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or tap "Menu" then "Cards" (mobile app).
Click "Request a card" located on the top right-hand side.
Edit the card's name.
Select "Physical card" under card type.
Under "Purpose", include a reason for your card request and attach any supporting documents.
Choose the preferred currency for your card transactions.
Set a Spend limit: enter the amount and choose the refresh frequency.
Link the card to a budget (optional).
Set any merchant restrictions via spend controls.
Assign a category for your card.
Fill out reporting options if needed.
Click "Continue".
Input details to be printed on the card: Cardholder name and Custom card name.
Add the Australian delivery address, then click Continue.
Review the card and delivery details, then click "Request a card".
Click "Yes, request my card now" to submit your card request.
Note: Allow up to 10 business days for your physical card delivery.
Once the order is in processing, the Cardholder Name, Custom Card Name, and source account can no longer be changed.
Physical card colour is fixed and cannot be customised. After issuance, the card is permanently assigned to the user and cannot be reassigned. Address fields accept letters and numbers only.
How Many Physical Cards Can I Create?
There is no limit on how many physical cards you can create. Please contact the Aspire support team for the current pricing of physical cards in Australia. The fee will be deducted from your AUD account, and you will receive an email with your invoice and payment confirmation.
Can I Convert a Virtual Card to a Physical Card?
Currently, we are unable to convert any virtual cards created on your Aspire account into a physical card.
Can I Use My Physical Card to Withdraw Cash from an ATM?
Yes, however, there are limitations when withdrawing cash from an ATM with an Aspire Card. Please note:
Daily ATM withdrawal limit: USD 500
ATM Withdrawal fee: AUD equivalent — check current card fees in-app
Can My Physical Card Be Used Overseas?
Yes! You can use your Aspire physical card for digital and in-store purchases overseas in various currencies, benefiting from competitive conversion rates compared to traditional banks.
Note: Remember to activate your physical card and set your card PIN in the Aspire app before using it overseas.
Can an Admin User Limit the Overseas Use of Physical Cards?
This feature is not yet available; however, the team is working to make this a possibility in the future. You can submit a product suggestion via the feedback form in the Aspire app.
