Understanding Aspire Checking Account

Updated over 3 months ago

What is a Checking Account?

A Checking Account, also known as a Demand Deposit Account (DDA), enables your business to hold, send, and receive funds in a flexible and secure manner. It’s built to support your daily operations with convenient access to your funds through local and international transfers.

With your Aspire Checking Account, you can:

  • Receive payments from clients, partners, or other accounts via local and international transfers.

  • Send payments to vendors, employees, or government agencies through local and international transfers.

  • Fund your Collateral Account for card transactions.

Who provides the Aspire Checking Account?

Your Aspire Checking Account is provided by Column N.A., Member FDIC, a nationally chartered bank. Column is responsible for holding your deposits and offering banking services, including your checking account, with the protection and reliability you’d expect from a U.S. bank.

Aspire is a financial technology company, not a bank. We’ve partnered with Column to offer you a seamless and modern banking experience through our platform. While Column manages the core banking functions, Aspire provides the digital tools and support to help you manage your finances efficiently, all in one place.

Is my Checking Account FDIC-insured?

Yes. Deposits in Aspire Checking Accounts are eligible for FDIC insurance up to USD 250,000 per depositor, for each insurable capacity in which the account is held, through Column N.A., Member FDIC.

For complete details, please refer to your account agreement and review information provided by the FDIC at www.fdic.gov or by calling 1-877-ASK-FDIC.

What currency is available?

Your Aspire Checking Account is denominated in USD. This allows you to hold, receive, and send funds in USD. You can also send international wire transfers directly from your checking account.
