All Aspire users can see which AI clients are connected to their Aspire account and disconnect any of them at any time.
Disconnecting takes effect immediately and also ends the connection on the AI client side, so you only need to do it in one place.
Who can do this
All users, regardless of role.
Admin users see this as the "My connections" tab. Everyone else lands on it directly.
Where to find it
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Settings" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Settings" (mobile app).
Click "MCP".
If you are an Admin, click "Manage MCP connections". You will land on the "My connections" tab. If you are not an Admin, you will land on your connections list straight away.
Note: The MCP menu item sits just after "Aspire API" in "Settings".
What you will see
Each connection shows:
The name of the AI client
The date it was connected
You can have more than one AI client connected at the same time. If you have none, you will see an empty state.
How to connect an AI client
You cannot start a connection from inside Aspire. There is no "Connect" button.
Open your AI client and add the Aspire connector there.
Log in with your Aspire account and approve the access request.
The new connection appears in your connections list in Aspire.
How to disconnect an AI client
Find the connection you want to remove.
Click the menu on that connection and choose "Disconnect".
Review the confirmation and confirm.
The connection is removed straight away. If it was your only one, you will see the empty state again.
Note: Disconnecting in Aspire also ends the connection on the AI client side. You do not need to remove it in both places.
What to do if you cannot see your connections
You see a blocked notice instead of your list. Your Admin has switched off your MCP access. Contact your admin to have it restored.
The MCP options have disappeared. Your Admin may have disabled MCP for the whole business. Contact your admin.
Can I connect more than one AI client?
Yes. You can have several connected at the same time.
Do I also need to disconnect from the AI client side?
No. Disconnecting in Aspire ends the connection on the AI client side too.
What is the difference between Disconnect and Disable MCP?
"Disconnect" removes one connection for one person. "Disable MCP" is an Admin action that revokes every connection across the whole business.
What happens to my connections if I am blocked?
They are revoked, and you will see a blocked notice in place of your connections list.
