Important Notes:
When you freeze a budget, all linked cards and submitted claims will be permanently cancelled. To avoid this, unlink the cards in the Cards section and settle the claims before freezing the budget. When you freeze a parent budget, all its sub-budgets will also be frozen. However, freezing a sub-budget does not freeze the parent budget.
Only Admin users can freeze or reactivate a budget.
To freeze a budget:
On your Aspire dashboard, click "Budgets" in the left navigation bar (web app) or "Menu" > "Budgets" (mobile app).
Select the budget you want to freeze.
Click the three-dotted menu and select "Freeze budget".
Confirm the action.
To view frozen budgets:
Click on the "Status" filter, choose "Frozen", then click "Apply".
To unfreeze a budget:
Navigate to the frozen budget.
Click "Unfreeze budget".
You will be prompted to make any editable changes if required.
If unfreezing a parent budget, you can also unfreeze its sub-budgets by clicking "Yes, Unfreeze sub-budgets". Your budget will now be ready for use again.
