How to Set or Update the Spending Limit on Corporate Cards

To set or update the spending limit on your virtual or physical card, you may follow the steps below, depending on your user role.

Admin users and Budget Owners

Note: Budget Owners can only update the spending limit on cards that are attached to their budget.

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Charge Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Charge Cards" (mobile app).

  2. Find the card for which you want to set or update the spending limit.

  3. Click "Edit".

  4. Toggle the button next to "Spend limit".

  5. Update spending limit:

    1. Enter the amount

    2. Select the refresh frequency: Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or one-time

    3. The spending limit will reset according to the chosen frequency

  6. Click "Update card" to apply the new spending limit.

Finance and Employee users

  1. On your Aspire dashboard, click "Charge Cards" in the left navigation bar (web app) or click "Menu" and choose "Charge Cards" (mobile app).

  2. Find the card for which you want to set or update the spending limit.

  3. Click "Request edit" in the top right corner.

  4. Toggle the button next to "Spend limit".

  5. Update spending limit:

    1. Enter the amount

    2. Select the refresh frequency: Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or one-time

    3. The spending limit will reset according to the chosen frequency

  6. Click "Submit edit request" to send your request for approval.

Your request will be reviewed by either your Admin or, if your card is linked to a budget, by the Budget Owner for that budget.
