Note: USD Yield Account is currently in Beta, and available only to selected clients. If you're interested, please chat with our Support Team.

What is Yield Account?

Yield account (operated by AFT SG 2 Pte. Ltd.) allows you to earn returns by investing your funds in relatively low-risk money market funds managed by Singapore’s leading fund managers. We currently offer SGD and USD Yield Accounts to suit your business needs.

Your Yield Account is integrated with your Business Account, so you can seamlessly switch between investing and spending your funds to grow your business.

How much can I expect to earn?

The fund aims to provide stable returns, but the actual yield may vary based on market conditions.

While the fund aims to offer consistent earnings, please note that returns are not guaranteed and may fluctuate. You can view the latest performance trends here.

Your SGD and USD funds are invested with Fullerton SGD Cash Fund Class A. You may see the latest performance in the fund prospectus and product highlight sheet.

The fund is non-capital guaranteed and is not a deposit product. All investments are subject to investment risks, including the risk that you may lose all or part of your principal invested amount.

Will I Receive Interest Daily?

No, there is no daily crediting of interest to your account. Instead, all interest earned from the underlying instruments in the fund will form part of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the fund. The underlying are deposits/government bills that have various maturity profile.

How are returns calculated?

Returns are calculated based on the interest and income earned from the underlying assets held in the fund, such as government bills and fixed deposits placed with approved financial institutions.

As per the market convention, we express this as an annualised yield, an estimate of what you could earn over a year if the current daily return rate remains consistent.

Returns are not fixed and may fluctuate depending on factors such as interest rate environment and broader market conditions.

Is there a minimum investment amount or period for Yield?

No, you can invest any amount in Yield and get quick access to your funds on the next business day (for redemption requests placed before cut-off time).

How are fees charged for the Yield account?

Aspire charges an annual fee of 0.5%,which is accrued daily based on the average daily Net Asset Value (NAV) in your Yield Account, and deducted monthly. You will only be charged fees for the days that you have funds in your Yield Account.

Monthly Fee = (0.5% / 12) x Average Daily NAV for the Month

How it works:

Let’s say you add funds at two different times in the month:

  • 1st of the month: You add SGD 10,000

  • 16th of the month: You add another SGD 10,000 (total becomes SGD 20,000)

Here’s how fees are calculated:

  • For 1st to 15th, fees are accrued on SGD 10,000 (plus any NAV changes)

  • For 16th to 30th, fees are accrued on SGD 20,000 (plus any NAV changes)

  • Aspire calculates the average daily balance over the whole month and applies the monthly portion of the 0.5% annual fee

How are fees deducted:

Fees are first deducted from your Aspire Business Account in the same currency as your Yield account. If there are insufficient funds in your Business Account, we’ll cover the fees by selling your units in the Yield Account.

When will the fee be deducted from my account?

Fees are usually charged within 5 business days following the end of each calendar month.

Do l need to pay annual fees if I add and withdraw my funds on the same day?

If you redeem your funds before the redemption cut-off time, no annual fees will be charged.
