Service Update on Transactions Involving Restricted Countries

Status of incoming and outgoing transfers involving the UAE, Oman, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Which countries are currently affected, and what is the status of transfers?

Due to updated requirements from our payment partner, DBS HK, Aspire HK is currently unable to process incoming or outgoing payments to or from counterparties in the following countries until further notice:

  • UAE and Oman (since May 2026)

  • Azerbaijan

  • Saudi Arabia and Turkey (since 22 July 2026)

This applies to all Aspire HK clients, both new and existing. Transfers involving these countries will be blocked.

Is this a permanent change?

No. This is a temporary restriction driven by our payment partner and is in place "until further notice."

I am a client incorporated in one of these countries. Am I affected?

Your Aspire account remains active. This update does not affect your ability to hold an account or to transact with other countries. The restriction applies only to payments to or from counterparties in the countries listed above.

What happens if I send or receive money involving these countries right now?

Incoming and outgoing transfers involving counterparties in the countries listed above, routed through DBS HK, will be rejected. If you have a payment expected from, or planned to, one of these countries, we recommend letting your counterparty know that the route is temporarily suspended.

How will I know when service is restored?

We are monitoring the situation closely. We will provide further updates as soon as the restrictions are lifted by our payment partner.

Note: This restriction applies to both incoming and outgoing payments.
