Why didn't I receive my OTP if I have a China (CN) registered mobile number?

Explains why SMS OTPs can fail to arrive for China-registered numbers and how the automatic email fallback works.

SMS OTP delivery to China (CN) numbers

If your mobile number is registered with a China (+86) country code, you may occasionally find that you don't receive your One-Time Password (OTP) by SMS. This is a known limitation caused by carrier-side restrictions on inbound SMS to China numbers, which are outside of Aspire's control — it isn't an account issue or an error on your part.

Automatic email fallback

To make sure you can still complete your action, Aspire automatically sends the OTP to your registered email address about 30 seconds after the SMS attempt if the SMS hasn't been delivered. This applies to China-registered numbers as well as a small number of other country codes with similar carrier restrictions.

If you didn't receive the OTP by SMS, please check your registered email inbox.

What to do if you don't receive the OTP

  1. Wait about 30 seconds after requesting the OTP.

  2. Check the email inbox associated with your Aspire account for the OTP.

  3. If you still haven't received the code by SMS or email after a reasonable wait, try requesting a new OTP.

  4. If you receive neither the SMS nor the email OTP after retrying, please contact our Support team through the Aspire app for further assistance.

Note: This automatic email fallback is expected system behaviour, not a bug — it's a safeguard designed to make sure you can always access your OTP even if SMS delivery is affected by carrier restrictions.
