Job description guide

As an Employer of Record, Aspire must ensure that your job description complies with all local regulations and other requirements. These include remote work requirements and limitations on certain job categories, industries, and regulated professions in some jurisdictions.

The Job Scope Tool will automatically review your job description to ensure compliance.

Note: Job descriptions that are not compliant will be rejected and may result in delayed or cancelled onboarding.

Best practices for compliant job descriptions

  • Focus on required duties and skills: Your job description should focus on the specific, required job duties and necessary skills. Additional company information offered perks and other details such as working hours, information about your company, and any investors are not permitted.

  • Do not copy your job advertisement: The job description should focus on measurable duties and skills. Job advertisements typically include extraneous details about the company that are not within the job scope. These job descriptions will be rejected.

  • Avoid salary, benefits, and perks details: You will have an opportunity to add benefits and other allowances and perks later as part of the quote process through Aspire.

  • No Company Information: As the Employer of Record, Aspire cannot include your company or investor information in the job description.

  • No on-site work: In most countries, Aspire is unable to offer services for on-site work. Please avoid job titles and job duties that refer to on-site work, including references to client meetings, conferences, and other on-site activities. If you require on-site job duties as part of your job description, this can be accommodated in some circumstances. Please contact us for assistance.

  • No personally identifiable information about the candidate including their name or other personal details.

  • Ensure the job titles and duties are aligned: This will ensure that performance expectations are aligned with the employment agreement.
